Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Misty my wee Angel
Sent to me from above
I've never known such beauty
I've never known such love

I feel you around and near me
I call your name every day
I just presume you hear me
As in the Spirit world you play

You can run and play in fields now
No collar, no lead, you're free
No danger, only safety around you
And as always, all the love from me

The love that you have given
Is always in my heart
And the love we shared together
Mean we will never part

So my little Angel be happy and be free
I cuddle you and kiss you
And I know you feel and see.

I think of you in the fields
Running around with your ball
And in my mind I throw it to you
And you come to me when I call.

Finnegan: Returned to Spirit, 11 years old.

I miss you so much my Golden Pup,
A dog beyond compare
Though I know you're still around,
I can sometimes feel you there.

I sense your presence when you're close,
A gentle breath, no longer strained
The insistent nudge of a velvet nose
A wagging tail, no trace of pain.

An Earth Angel in a golden coat,
I still miss you all the same

I'm sorry we had such a short time together,
but I'm truly honoured that I got to meet you.
Please watch over Joe and stay close by his side as
you always did...

She was all things joyous
and lives on in hearts weakened
she was evolution distilled into finite beauty
and she looked through eyes that held wisdom
from before the Pharaohs

Some say you can be too lovely
to live long, and she was
as brief and bright as shooting stars
fixed in unique labyrinths of memory
where tears go to wait recall

So we now wait, not wishing life less long
for it still has so much to enjoy yet
to touch that spirit once more and be blessed
again and have returned those
once gifted us for too short a span

Poppy 14 years
Rosie 19 years

Our cat Poppy passed over in August 2004 after a short illness.

She was a lovely soul who is missed every day by everyone who knew her especially her family.

We have her ashes buried in the garden beside her favourite tree. She loved to climb that tree and shout when she was at the top. We painted a stone with her name on it which sits below the tree so we can visit any time we like.

I often feel her presence in the house and that is a great comfort to us.

We know we will meet up again and are happy to know she is playing in Rainbow bridge.

Our beautiful cat Rosie passed over aged 19yrs. She had a wonderful life and was loved everyday.Rosie was kind and caring. She seemed to look into your very soul and knew how to make things better. We miss her very much. The only thing that sustains us is our wonderful memories and the fact that we will meet again.

Its a comfort to know that Rosie's sister Poppy is already playing at Rainbow bridge and will be there to welcome Rosie. We know they will have lots of fun running and playing.

My Dearest Ruby

We miss you so much since you carried on your journey in spirit on 25th April.

Tomorrow you would have been 13 years old and we will give thanks on the 19th May for your precious love and friendship as we always have and always will.

You and Pushkie and I were one and are still one and now there is Poppy who loves you and you love too.

My dearest wish is for us all to be reunited again and I long for that moment.

You were the first to lead the way- though you are the youngest- but you are the purest in heart and fullest in love of any soul I have ever known.

Ruby if you are able it would give me enormous joy and peace and happiness to know that you are still beside us sometimes and that you await us too!

I love you Ruby and thank you and miss you- we all do.

It comforts me to know you are together again.

Already I feel your spirits carrying me and I know you are both now guiding me in a very special way-

I now have a work to do, a special focus.

I am dedicating myself to create a testiment and tribute to the joy of our friendship and the surpassing power of our shared love - which transcended all life's challenges even the experience of so called " death ".

Thank you for giving us five more months Pushkie- we needed them and we loved showering you with special love and attention like in the beginning when you were the " only one ".

Incredible you made 15 years and five months- so brave my precious.

You have been my most loyal and steadfast friend- the one who understood everything always.

The most intelligent and sensitive soul in my life.

Your intuiton was incredible and I always turned to you - wise beautiful Pushkin - Ruby did too so she will be glad you are back by her side.

I know she was calling you and visiting you because we could see you looking at her and rubbing heads in play.

A wonderful sight and confirmation that we are never separated - but close and ever dear and just a thought away!

she was our beautiful pet and best friend..to say she was human is not far wrong,,wise,attentive..she was and is a friend for life...We miss you very much Breagha,,and you will never be replaced..
